who we are:

GSAE is the professional association for executives and staff of nonprofit associations headquartered in Georgia. These associations and charitable organizations represent many facets of commerce, industry and social interests across our state. A slight majority of our members serve as the chief staff officer of their organization, and nearly a third hold the CAE designation. Our membership also includes companies that offer goods and services to the association community, including hotels, meeting facilities, convention and visitors bureaus, financial and technology service providers, as well as printing and graphic design firms.

more important info:

  • GSAE's professional development committee gives preference to speakers who offer topics geared to the educational needs and interests of the association management community.
  • Breakout sessions are 60 minutes, keynotes are up to 35 minutes, and workshops are typically 2 hours. Please do not submit a proposal for a presentation that exceeds these time limits unless it's a half-day workshop. They are not negotiable.
  • If you would like to propose multiple sessions, you may do so by listing each topic by name in the form.
  • LCD projectors and screens will be provided.
  • GSAE will provide laptops at the Annual Meeting. We strongly encourage speakers to submit a complete list of any additional equipment expected onsite.
  • Handouts will be made available online; paper copies are not provided on-site.
  • Session slots for the Annual Meeting will be determined by GSAE staff. If you have a day or time preference, please mention it in the appropriate field at the bottom of the form. If you are selected, every effort will be made to accommodate your request.
  • Although no specific question requires an answer, complete applications will be given more weight and consideration than those with missing or incomplete information.
  • Am I required to obtain rights clearances for trademarked and copyrighted material?
Yes, you must clear all trademarked and/or copyrighted materials and get permission from all people included in your project prior to submission. Georgia Society of Association Executives (GSAE) does not check to ensure that you have obtained clearance for these materials at any point during the submission process, nor will we be held responsible for any inclusion of un-cleared or copyrighted materials in your submission. It is the sole responsibility of the submitter to secure permission from the trademark or copyright holders of the material in question, whether it is music, stock footage, or any other elements that could violate an existing trademark or copyright. It is also the sole responsibility of the submitter to secure permission from all people who appear in your submission.  Adapted from Sony Pictures Television
