Speaker: Anne DarConte, CAE, Senior Advisor, HillStaffer, LLC Anne DeSeta DarConte, CAE serves as Senior Advisor of HillStaffer, LLC. With more than 30 years of federal, state, and local government relations experience, she advises clients on advocacy strategies and programs including: legislative and regulatory messaging; Hill Days and advocate training; grassroots, grass tops and community outreach; and GOTV efforts. Ms. DarConte’s successful initiatives have been recommended as models of best practices. Prior to HillStaffer Ms. DarConte managed a 50-state coalition in the accounting profession, started an outreach program for a 500-member energy trade association, and served as Director of Grassroots for a $125MM national trade association. Early in her career, Ms. DarConte worked as a Senior Legislative Analyst in the Florida House of Representatives’ Committee on Commerce. Ms. DarConte has been an active volunteer serving as Past Chair of ASAE’s Government Relations Professionals Advisory Council, Co-Founder of the Professional Women in Advocacy Conference and Excellence in Advocacy Awards (2013-2015), former Board Member of Women in Government Relations and for PLEN, the Public Leadership Education Network. Ms. DarConte, who resides in Wake Forest, NC, is the 2020 Recipient of AENC's Bob Slocum Award for Outstanding Government Affairs and Advocacy. This gathering constitutes a “preplanned in-depth group study of specific association management topic(s) with interaction between a minimum of three participants from different organizations [and earns] 1 CAE credit for each clock hour, up to a maximum of 20 hours per CAE [renewal] application.” (ASAE CAE renewal information) |
