GSAE Meetings Shared Interest Group (sig)

"Hot Topics" round table discussion.

Let’s get together for some informal networking and discussion at Fellini’s Pizza on Howell Mill Rd. Thursday, October 10 at 11:45 am ET. We'll stay and chat for as long as the conversation lasts, but feel free to leave whenever you need to.

We’re keeping this very casual. All charges will be on your own, but please RSVP to Leigh by Tuesday, October 8 if you plan to attend so we can hold enough seats.

CAE Update
We are waiting on guidance from the CAE Commission's new committee that pre-approves education - in this case, roundtable discussion group events. You previously saw GSAE using the same language we have in past that a Shared Interest Group meeting focused on peer to peer sharing of effective association management practices linked to a specific domain (in this case: Business Operations. B. Meetings & Events) would qualify for CAE credit but that you were limited to 20 hours in a renewal cycle or application. GSAE still believes this roundtable qualifies for CAE credit due to the recognized value and efficacy of local professionals sharing their knowledge, expertise, and strategies for successful event and program management. We will keep you posted while we go through the process. There is no question of the CEUs= qualifying under the CMP program, so let staff know if you need a qualifying certificate. - WWK
