Wine + webinars: Lessons from New Leaders

This month, we will have a conversation with two GSAE members who have recently transitioned into Executive Director roles:

• Kelly McLendon, CAE, Executive Director, Georgia Pest Control
• Lacey Facer, Executive Director at IPMA: International Practice Management Association

They will discuss their job transition, career paths, and lessons learned so far in their new leadership roles. Come prepared to enjoy a glass of wine, ask questions, and chat with your peers!
 
Suggested wine pairing: we really should be drinking Beaujolais Nouveau, which is made from the first pressing of the season (also known as early wines – get it, like early career executive directors), but they won’t come out until November – in time for Thanksgiving. So, we suggest something to honor our speakers like a smart and spirited wine such as Casal Garcia Vino Verde.

This gathering constitutes a “preplanned in-depth group study of specific association management topic(s) with interaction between a minimum of three participants from different organizations [and earns] 1 CAE credit for each clock hour, up to a maximum of 20 hours per CAE [renewal] application.” (ASAE CAE renewal information)
